The Venue
There are a number of venues, it's just a case of finding the right one for your party.
The Bar
A number of local pubs offer outside bars, offering both staff to manage and equiment.
The Drinks
First up is the welcome drink, an old favourite of mine is a summer punch, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. Either way, a huge bucket of freshly homemade-punch packed with sliced fruit and ice kicks the party off.
The Food
A very cost effective way of feeding a large number of people quickly is with a hog roast, the hog pictured was slow cooked for about 8 hours in a local baker’s oven. The crackling is to die for and the Pork goes down a treat with homemade apple sauce. One thing to remember at this point is if you have any vegetarian friends or those with other dietary requirements.
To complement the hog roast I’ve always gone with a simple green leaf salad and rice salad. Served with dressings and garnished with grapes.
You’ll find your guests picking all night.
We are happy to talk about other menu ideas you have. Matching venue, menu and party atmoshere with your budget.
The Pudding
Pudding can cost a lot, for our sons dedication we chose cup cakes, it’s a cake, it’s a pudding, and it costs less than you might think!
E-bay is great to find the decorations to suit your party theme or colours. The stand can hold approximately 170 cupcakes, and one 5” top cake (we have found any iced fruit/sponge cake from a good supermarket works best)
The cake stand has 7 tiers, each layer interlocks offering a spectacular centre piece.
The Chef
Dan is an NVQ trained chef working as head chef for four years at a local public school. Dan has also worked in a number of restaurants and kitchens over the past ten years.
Dan would be happy to chat to you regarding your party, you’re under no obligation. We can do as much or as little as you wish. Each booking is individual, we work to your budget, making it go as far as we can, each bill can be itemised
